A few updates to help the event run smoothly.

1)  UNC Asheville has a strict bag check policy.  The policy is posted on our website here.   Absolutely NO outside food or drink will be allowed in the main public entrance to the arena.  This is strictly enforced.  Concessions will be open.

2)  UNCA has generously worked out an arrangement for teams to bring in their own lunch, water and snacks.  We have 2 classrooms for storing and eating that are outside the arena proper.

ALL team food MUST come in the team entrance and be carried by someone with a team badge (student or mentor).  No exceptions. For teams that have already competed at an event, please bring your badges with you.  We do not provide a second set of badges.  For teams that have not yet competed, we will have your badges ready for you when you check-in at Pit Admin.

It has come to our attention that some of the teams have made arrangements with outside vendors to deliver lunch to your teams.  Please note that you MAY NOT HAVE IT DELIVERED TO THE ARENA.  Please arrange a location to meet outside the venue.  Food delivered to the arena will be turned away and seriously jeopardizes our ability to allow teams to eat in the classrooms provided.

Finally, UNCA has a very strict recycling and composting policy.  They have agreed to provide the necessary containers to help us follow this policy.  Please make sure your students are aware of and respect the recycling and composting bins.  Details can be found here and here.  Feel free to bag your own trash and remove it from campus on your own.

3)  Only badged participants will be allowed through the team entrance and no bag checks will occur.  Everyone without a badge must go through the main entrance and follow the bag-check policy found here.
