Hand-written or typed rosters will not be accepted. If you have any questions, please contact us asap. Please turn in any paper consent and release forms at that time.
SAFETY GLASSES
Please remember your safety glasses!! Our safety glass table stock is for guests - parents, sponsors, media, etc…. Team members will not be allowed to sign out safety glasses.
Remind your team that safety glasses must be worn at all times in the pit and playing field areas. Thanks for helping to keep our events safe!
MOBILE MACHINE SHOP
Yes, the Mobile Machine Shop will be on site and staffed by two machinists on Friday and Saturday while pits are open. It will be open on Sunday until noon.
SCOUTING BUTTONS
Yes, we will be providing each team with 3 scouting buttons. Once again we will have a dedicated seating area for scouting. Please encourage collaboration and sharing of buttons and data between your teams.
EVENT TICKETS
Please have your parents, sponsors and friends get their ‘tickets’ early. EVERYONE who attends the event will be given a button to use for admission. Tickets can be obtained here.
FOOD
We have had challenges during events where teams have been allowed to bring in outside food. Our event last weekend where no food was allowed was our least stressful event. Challenges have included:
- Trash
- Messes that have not been cleaned up before vacating the building each night
- Disrespect to volunteers monitoring the food areas
- Teams bringing in items requiring power, open flame or other sources of heat
With that said, we also recognize the challenges specific to this venue with a lack of nearby food options and no concessions in the arena. Add to that the weather forecast and we understand that picnicking outside is likely not viable.
Teams will be allowed to bring in outside food. We will provide 16 tables - 1 table per two teams for storage. Teams are allowed to eat in the arena. We ask that you respect the facility and not leave trash in the seating areas, aisles or concourse. We also ask that you respect the area designated for team food and not extend further into the concourse area.
Please help us be good guests and keep the team food area clean at all times. Thank you.
TEAM SOCIAL SPONSORED BY CAMPBELL UNIVERSITY
We are excited to share that Campbell University will be hosting a Team Social on Saturday night for all teams. The social will begin at 6:30 pm in the arena concourse with a boxed dinner of a 5" sub and chips for all team members and mentors. Desserts will be scattered around campus in various buildings that will be open for tours and demos throughout the evening. Please join us in thanking Campbell University for their generosity!
